#9 chipmunk problem

Can anyone advise on a new problem for us with transcriber? Software working well for months on Macs but one by one our computers are experiencing chipmunk sounds through entire audio - can anyone explain why this happens and how to fix it. Trashing and Downloading a new version doesn't help. Current audio is in .WAV form. Urgent problem. Advise greatfully accepted.
