I have just discovered the sumo project and believe that it may be able to aid me in calculating traffic queuing resulting from traffic management.
After having a quick play with the sumo tools, I have a few questions:
can road sections have traffic flows collected from induction loops attributed to them
can a length of traffic management (i.e. Lane closures, speed limits) be factored in to the simulation
-can the simulation be run in pseudo real time I.e. can I run a simulation over a 24 hour period (sped up)
can I factor in different vehicles (I have percentage values for each) and their limited speeds (HGV 56mph, car 70mph)
-would it be as to capture queue lengths along the section of road prior to the traffic management?
Any guidance would be of great help!
Thanks.
Dan
