what does the function "(player)" do?
this function gives a reference to the current player. The result from this function can be used with any of the functions listed under "Operations on animated objects" in the API reference. See the examples below
To give a speed mod for the player:
(set-modtime (player) *mod-speed* 10)
To move him to a given point
(set-position (player) 10.0 10.0)
Hope this clarifies the function a bit.
