Hello,

I own a T61 7664-18G, and tried to install and run tpctl with tp_smapi
under Ubuntu GG

* tp_smapi seemingly works as a module (I set stop_charging successhully)
* installed the debian packages (thinkpad-base_5.8-4_i386.deb,
tpctl_4.17-1_i386.deb)
* as a result I have a thinkpad file under /etc/modprobe.d containing
all (both the for devfs and w/o devfs) the alias lines written on the
website, the /etc/devfs/conf.s/thinkpad file also exists and is fine

Still when I try to run tpctl (or configure-thinkpad, that I also
installed) I get the error in the subject. Any ideas?
