Looks good.

I am glad that someone finally reimplemented the smapi module using
contemporary interfaces.  As I wrote some time ago on the linux-thinkpad
list, I didn't find myself motivated to do the necessary work.

It is my impression from what I have read before that SMAPI and ACPI
firmware routines interfere with each other.  (I still use APM so I
haven't tested this myself.)  What have you found?
