Current process, I maintain the neighbourhood list for Neighbourhood Watch in my street, a crime prevention organization run by the Police.
We need to maintain a contact register listing things like residents' name, mobile, landline number and email address and an emergency preparedness register listing things like who has a generator and tinned food etc the process is manual and it is a big hassle for me to chase all the neighbours for their details, and the information quickly becomes out of date, so why not automate?
Proposed approach, It is proposed to decentralize the process and take the administrator out of the equation, just let the neighbours update the list at any time online, and you print the list of when it suits you, it will be current at that moment. The same is for the emergency preparedness register, can print off at any time and update when convenient....
New neighbours moving in can be authorized by other neighbours and perpetuate the system...
