SQL error on first update

    I am getting the following error when doing the first bracket update:

    You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 's',`6`='Valparaiso',`7`='',`8`='',`9`='Southern U.',`10`='Pittsburgh',`11`='',`1' at line 1

    Been using the script for years with no issues. Have the latest version installed. Where do I need to look?

    There are many ways to deal with this issue.  For example, I chose to add to admin/update.php the following line:

       $losers = array_map('mysql_real_escape_string', $losers);

    just before line 159.

    This line escapes the entries and allows apostrophes to be used in team names just as was done in the early part of update.php.
