It would be cool if TortoiseCVS let the user specify
values for either one of the -f/-r options on commit.
I.e., adding a checkbox and a text-entry field to the
commit dialog where the user can choose to commit to
a certain revision of a file/collection.
Ideally, TortoiseCVS would present the user which
revision numbers were allowed. :)

This has been discussed before, and the opinion of the
TortoiseCVS developers is that the revision numbers should not
be manipulated by the user.

It would be great if TortoiseCVS supported "cvs commit -r"
I would definitely use it.

We are being forced to use WinCVS to release major revision
updates!
=> Are we stuck with 1.xx using TortoiseCVS!!!???
We have no need to alter minor revisions or create branches.
We do like to start the initial version off @ 1.0 rather than
1.1.
An option to increment the major version would be
acceptable.** Suggest an "Commit Special" along the lines of "Update
Special".

I would also appreciate a possibility to change the revision
number of one or more files. Maybe it is possible to
restrict the values that can be entered to valid revisions
so that creating invalid/conflicting revision numbers is
impossible.

We still won't do it. Use the command line if you must.
