I got Runtime error 216 at 0040338A repeatedly for 50+
times when executing the .exe ....1 out of around 50+
trials I can load it up...strange...

    I get this error as well and I was doing some looking around
    the net and I am betting it is the same issue that this
    other group was having... something about hyperthreading
    and a specific function call. Here is the link:

    I've found a workaround for this problem! It doesn't fix the
    root of the problem, which *is* a bug of some type in
    torrentspy, but at least it works. Right click on the exe and
    go to properties; enable Windows 98 compatability mode.
    This should work for any Windows XP user having this problem.

    I have the same error too.
    XP SP2 on a P4 3 GHz. Also on the new .26.
    Now i use the Perl Version.

    Same problem with HT cpu

    Like he said:

    Compatibility mode (I've tried them all, Win '95 to 2000) doesn't work for me, I still get error 216.

    CPU: P4 3.2 HT
    OS: XP SP2
    TSpy version 2.4.26
