Hi, I already converted svn to git once, it's still there:
https://github.com/benapetr/tora but it's quite outdated now. The
conversion process is pretty simple, basically you just run 1 command
on unix, wait few hours and it's done.

I think github is definitely going to make it more simple for people
to submit patches.
