I have a postgresql database
contains columns with binary data and other field labels, etc.
I need to see descriptive data (text, date, place) .... and only sometimes photos
database is opened for a long time (and sometimes tora crashes)
Photos are many and I think is a problem with memory when Tora reading all at once.
I need a setting where Tora shows text data but will not read binary data.
(in the best read binary data when I click on a specific item)
I do not know if the problem is on the server or in the Tora
With an oracle db, there options to specify how many characters of a LOB Tora should fetch. If I choose unlimited, Tora may crash too.
Isn't there an option like that for Postgresql?
I think not
(truth is, I know the database as a goat knows trucks)
Some advice: don't let the goat drive the truck.
Otherwise, just select those columns you need to see.
select text_column, date_column, place_column from photo_table
At this moment we do not have any maintaner for postgresql port. We're looking for volunteers.
