  Anyway, thanks for the work you're putting into this! It builds fine
  on Slackware (still with gcc 2.95.3, which seems to be the best
  overall).

  I'm going to see if MEncoder's newly-added TooLame encoding support
  will work OK with this version. If you use MPlayer/MEncoder, it's a
  real improvement, I think.
