I love having IM capability directly in emacs. The interface is soooo
much better than the original client!
The one annoyance is
the "away" notification. If I have an active IM buffer with someone
who goes away, I get a new two-line message every minute telling
me that they continue to be away. This tends to introduce several
screenfulls of stuff that wasn't part of the discussion. I'd love to see
TNT collapse the away messages as long as there aren't any IMs in
between. Perhaps some kind of string match backwards from the
end of the buffer could notice that the last message was the away
notification and not put a new one? Perhaps to make the
timestamps make more sense, it should be delete the old one and
add the new one?
Thanks again for a spiffy new emacs
feature!
