#37 "Connection leak" in conference pages

Somewhere in the conference pages, there seems to be a
"connection leak", i. e. connections are not properly
returned when they are not used any longer.

This leads to a behaviour that for each click on a
conference year, a new connection is established. When
the DB server's connection limit is reached, the page
does not react anymore.
