On different machines an archive of meteo is kept.
On Cartesius, meteo is found in
/projects/tm5meteo
Meteo fiels are stored on the higher possible resolution, 1x1 degree.
However, when you run on 6x4 resolution it is much more efficient to coarsen the meteo in a forward run.
You do this by activating in the .rc file:
my.meteo.resol : glb100x100 ! main archive tmm.output : T
This will use glb100x100 resolution meteo from the archive and write coarsened metro.
In subsequent runs you can then use the coarsened meteo by:
my.meteo.resol : coarsened ! coarsened to levels and regions tmm.output : F
The place where the coarsened meteo is written is determined by the flag
meteo.working.dir : ${my.scratch_dir}/meteo
Which is defined in the include file include/meteo-ei.rc
