Initial Comment:

Following statement causes tolog to crash:
select * from instance-of($A,$B) ?

Exception:
java.lang.NullPointerException at
org.tm4j.tolog.InstanceOfExtension.getInstanceMatches(InstanceOfExtension.java:114)
....

The same applies to the DirectInstanceOfExtension class
as well.

P.S.: The TM4J version which I tested is 0.9.4

Fixed in CVS. There are now also a couple of unit tests to
cover this case.
