unfortunately the newest version is detected as a trojan. what can be the reason?

I have the same problem -- says "Failed-Virus detected".

BitDefender won't allow download, detects VIRUS. No response to similar comments.

The developer probably got its account compromised, and an infected release had been published.

Good news: I reached the security team, and they have deleted this infected release (which was 4.6.0.1, modification date 2020).

You can confidently download the real latest release, which is 4.6. Just make sure the modification date is 2016 on the file listing.
