Mac OS X only.
Do:
- On a Windows machine, share a folder to the network
- On the Mac, open finder, press Command-K and connect to that shared folder
- Open Wish, paste the following in the console:
tk_chooseDirectory -initialdir ~ -mustexist 1 -title "hello" -parent .
- In the dialog, click on the sharing computer in the left pane, then on the shared folder
Happens:
- The contents are not shown
- The dialog is frozen
Accessing the share through Finder or any other app (e.g. TextMate) that uses similar dialogs works fine.
Tested on Mac OS X 10.5.6 and 10.5.7, with Tcl/Tk 8.5.4, 8.5.7 and 8.6b1.1 (built from CVS head).
The Windows machine was using Windows Vista SP2.
I can confirm this behaviour using a Linux machine as Samba server, so this is not limited to Windows machines sharing a directory.
