#1573 No multi-column menus, Mac Aqua

obsolete: 8.4.4
Tom Goddard

Multi-column menus are displayed as a single column in
Aqua Tk 8.4.4. The following example,

menubutton .b -text Tools
menu .b.m
.b.m add command -label stuff
.b.m add command -label more -columnbreak 1
.b configure -menu .b.m
pack .b

produces a single column menu using Aqua Tk. On Linux,
Windows, SGI and HP Alpha it makes a 2 column menu.

In our application the second column has checkbuttons
with the
last one being "all of the above". The meaning of this
confusing when all entries are displayed in one column.

This is another menu feature that is not provided by the standard
    MDEF. (see 814846 for another).

The original MacTk MDEF was kind of creaky, we probably need to
rewrite it. But that is a decent sized task.
