The new major version of Img is ready.

The major changes compared to the 1.4 version are:
- Support for image metadata as introduced with Tk 8.7 and 9.0.
- Image subcommand "data" now returns binary strings as does Tk.
- Extended and corrected test suites and documentation.
- Lots of security and stability fixes.

The CVS repository for tkImg is now converted to a Subversion repository.

The current release of Img (version 1.2.4) is now available for download in the files section.

The current state of the Img extension to Tcl/Tk (version 1.2.4) was imported into the CVS repository of the new SF project "tkImg".

The tkImg project, formerly known as "Img", an image extension to Tcl/Tk, lives now at SF and is ready to accept developers. The current project administrators to talk to are
