Running Img 1.4.9 configure scripts fails to configure libtiff. It gets the following error:
checking build system type... ../../../../../../prod/src/tcltk/8.6.x/Img-1.4.9/libtiff/../compat/libtiff/config/config.guess: unable to guess system type This script, last modified 2007-03-06, has failed to recognize the operating system you are using. It is advised that you download the most up to date version of the config scripts from http://savannah.gnu.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs/*checkout*/config/config/config.guess and http://savannah.gnu.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs/*checkout*/config/config/config.sub If the version you run (../../../../../../prod/src/tcltk/8.6.x/Img-1.4.9/libtiff/../compat/libtiff/config/config.guess) is already up to date, please send the following data and any information you think might be pertinent to <config-patches@gnu.org> in order to provide the needed information to handle your system.
I was able to successfully configure and build the Img package by copying compat/libjpeg/config.guess to compat/libtiff/config/config.guess and compat/libtiff/config.guess
I've attached the full configure log of libtiff
Also note, I never had this problem with version 1.4.2.

This issue probably no longer exists since Img 1.4.11 due to the relevant config.guess file having been updated.
I agree. This is no longer an issue for me, nor probably for my former employer. This ticket can be closed.
Closed as demanded.
