Tkfp Live! 1.10

Tkfp Live! 1.10 bootable Linux CD with Tkfp included, pre-configured and ready to run was posted to the file area today. This is the same as Tkfp 56 with the 10/30/2004 patch added. Please see release notes for details on new features.

Requires at least 384mb of RAM to run. Xwindow and Tkfp work out of the box on my system and start up automatically, but you may need to configure a new XF86Config file for your particular video card and monitor. Instructions included for that at login time after system boots. It runs entirely in RAM, nothing is installed on your hard drive. However it can mount Linux partions it finds. It might be useful with a removable USB drive with a Linux partition on it to enable a portable Tkfp package you can carry around. I haven't tried that yet myself.... read more

Tkfp Live! 1.09

A bootable CD image based on SLAX Linux and containing a copy of the latest Tkfp medical practice management software. Good for trying out the program on an Intel X86 class computer without needing to install Linux. It requires at least 384mb of RAM due to the large virtual filesystem it contains. It does not install anything on your hard drive.

Tkfp 56 Linux (Family Practice management)

This includes all the patches to version 55 plus all the remaining data sharing over a network set up that was dependent on NFS has now been moved over to use the Tkfp databaseserver program. This should allow you to network Tkfp clients to any Tkfp databaseserver. Using SSH to create a VPN connection with port forwarding works great.

New Windows version

A new Windows version has been posted. This is now current with the Linux version again as of March 08, 2004. The windows version has some quirks and is not tested extensively, but quite a bit of it appears to work the same as on Linux. But we cannot say it a production quality application at this time. It is for experimenters mainly.

The Tk_familypractice_55_patch.tar.gz file adds functionality to produce the HIPAA ANSI X12 837 4010A1 insurance claim file format. It is integrated with the demographic/insurance and note writing modules so a provider can produce the claim at the time a progress note is completed without any other employee help, providing the demographic/insurance info is maintained correctly.

Tkfp Windows 03 Sep 2003

This version is current with the Tkfp Linux 55 release. Most of the functions work. Needs ActiveTcl, ActivePython and ActivePerl from http://www.activestate.com to enable all the functions. It has some problems running in the tabbled notebook GUI as the entry box widgets do not accept focus in that mode due to lower level problem in Tcl/Tk. Runs best in a multi-window mode outside the tabbed notebook GUI.
