have an xml interface so you can build client apps tobe more feature rich.
specifically to build an iphone app. (or android )
if you can provide a command and export profram guide, to do, recod lists including season passes and the now ahowing folder list, you can then use the client app on th iphone to act as a remote control.

this would be similar to the sonos client app which works really well.
