#719 Feature Request: Command Line Profile Loading

Utilize a command line argument for loading a profile - other addons that do this use a command line like /[addon] profile choose [ProfileName]

Please provide any additional information below.
The current interface is great and quick, but when copying the same settings across 10x toons on a server and having to click here to open the config panel, then click here to select a profile, then click here to load the profile then click the close window button, then click another addon to open the config panel, then profiles tab, then click the profile, then click load addon, this becomes a tedious task among 10-15 addons that need to be copied.

For those that are resetting their ui for various reasons (reinstalling wow being a major one), it would be nice to configure all the addons on a single toon, save the custom profile, create a macro with the various command lines needed, then just use the macro on the other toons to load all the profiles with a single macro button.

Example macro:
/addon1 profile choose Main
/addon2 profile choose Main
/addon3 profile choose Main
/addon4 profile choose Main
/addon5 profile choose Main

If you are adventurous and need to reset before we release you can use the below in your macro
/script TitanVariables_UseSettings("<name>@<server>")

If you look at the Titan menu then <name> is the text under Character or Custom
And <server> is the text under Server for toons or TitanCustomProfile for custom profiles. It needs to be exact for now.
/script TitanVariables_UseSettings("urnati@TitanCustomProfile") as an example.

The text "<name>@<server>" needed will not change once we implement the feature. Just the command part will be different - and stable.

deal.  it copies the settings to a toon specific profile.  would it be
possible to share the profile as in I log into room a, move an addons to a
diff spot and when I log to room b, it is already moved instead of having to
save the new layout from room a, then load it on b to reflect the changes?

Not sure what you mean by 'room'. If you meant 'toon' then right now the answer is no.
We might consider an "override" feature that tells Titan to always use a specific profile. I can bounce it off the team and see what they think.

Yeah..  sorry for the typo.  Damn predictive texting.  If u share a profile
among toons, making a change on one will reflect on all with no further
action necessary.  I like having my interface the same from one toon to the
next with the only difference being action bar related spells/stances so I
don't have to change much in style.  Since titan is so much data/information
related, when I want to know something, its nice not having to think where
is this on this toon versus my others.  Adding an addons or changing where
one is located requires saving the change to a master profile, the loading
it for each toon.  A shared profile would keep users from having this extra
work.  Many an addons support the idea of when a user logs on, it retrieves
the name/realm of the profile and loads it.  At logoff, the addon saves the
settings.  This way, any toons using the same profile wont have to reload a
master profile to the toon profile.

I love titan and wish I had the skills with plugins you folks do.  I'm happy
with it now, but in this mess of addons and getting them all synced across
rooms have seen how some authors do things differently and see a more
flexible way of settings management.  Titan has many great ideas and hope
this one tops off the delicious cake titan already is.

I am inclined to implement a global profile. I am asking the team in case I over simplify or over think it.

If you have other thoughts on how to improve Titan - please post them!
