Today the version 5.5.2 of the PHP-Nuke Boardnukers VKP is released.

It uses the Smarty Template engine and the ADOdb SQL layer. It is compatible to PHP-Nuke 5.5 on modules, themes and blocks.

Requirements: SQL-Server supported by ADOdb (nearly all), PHP 4.3.0 or above or 5.0.0.

Today the first beta version of the project is released.

This version uses ADOdb 4.23 and Smarty 2.6.3.

And this is the last. The beta phase of the 5.5.2 starts now.

The 5.5.2 will be the last version using the ADOdb abstraction layer. As good as slow it is, so there is no sense to keep it. Also most web sites are using mySQL. It make more sense to improve the usage of mySQL build in options.

The snapshot for the month May is out. The theme now uses the Smarty template engine. All text areas are wrapped by HTMLarea. Some details are changed on the admin interface.

Remember, a snapshot is alpha and unstable. Do not use it on a working environment.

After frequently down times on BerliOS the project moved to SourceForge.

BoardNukers PHP-Nuke aka TIS is a fork of PHP-Nuke version 5.5, but only on the core system. All modules developed for PHP-Nuke 5.5 will work with this system. At this point of the development there are no native modules available.

The main changes to PHP-Nuke are:

A full rewrite of the core system and design of an OO-API for developers, but 100% compatible, also on bad side effects. The API also has a lot of nice features eg. an automatic selection of images in the xmas or easter arriving time.... read more
