Announcing the release of Walnut version 1.0.0. This version includes only minor bug fixes since the previous beta 4 release. My apologies for the delay to this release, I have been unexpectedly distracted by other projects for a couple of weeks. (http://ww2.geminidataloggers.com/DataSheets/Tinys/TGI3250.PDF) This release is believed to be stable, and no further releases are planned in the immediate future. Download: https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=58107&release_id=160302 Detailed Changelog: http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/tinytag/Tinytag/Walnut/doc/changes?rev=1.4.2.2 -- Toby Dickenson http://www.geminidataloggers.com/people/tdickenson |

=2D----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I am pleased to announce the third beta release of Walnut, a python library= =20 for talking to Tinytag data loggers. Changes in this release include: 1. Changed the autodetection function to perform other tasks necessary for application-level uses of this library: checking protocol version errors,=20 checking for loggers that failed their self-test, and turnng on some=20 performance enhancements if we can detect a digital basestation. 2. Many of the *_command_implemented methods on the MiniDecode class are=20 removed, in line with current logger specifications. Anyone using these=20 methods please shout, and I can suggest a better alternative. 3. Added a tiny_protocol_version method as an alias for=20 host_software_requirement. That old method name has been misleading for a=20 long time. The old name will not be removed for a long time yet. 4. Turned off some debugging output by default. No critical bugs are fixed in this release, but anyone using an older versi= on=20 should upgrade soon. Point 1 above will help you avoid problems in the=20 future. =2D----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.1 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE+hDiL99Pa/DbwZfsRAkiIAKCIZAtoYRnLmUEnI1xQR9ZqqcKefgCgzRNQ UkcBgNiXhoGZdZ4MyBQ32Bw=3D =3DKtBy =2D----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |

Announcing the release of Walnut 1.0 beta 2 Walnut is a Python library for communicating with Gemini data loggers. http://www.geminidataloggers.com/developer/open/walnut 1.0 will be the first official source release of these libraries. Nothing much has changed from the version that has been in the CVS trunk for a while, and not much is expected to change before a final 1.0.0 release towards the end of March. This is the first release that includes support for running Walnut from a frozen (compiled) dll file, rather than a big directory of source. -- Toby Dickenson http://www.geminidataloggers.com/people/tdickenson |
