#2 dialog redraws mostly only under certain circumstances
under tinyseq-0.8e4.win32, the dialog only refreshes
when you completely cover it with another window, and
then drag that window off.
otherwise, you only get a partial display or no
display at all.
even when it refreshes part of the display past the
cursor is missing.
