I jumped headlong into a project without having a proper education regarding
the underlying networking code required to make the project work.

So, to fix this, I've moved the entire project into the 'old' directory, and
I will begin fresh, practicing and learning the Twisted framework, until such
time as I can naturally evolve a proper MUD codebase from it.

The goal right now is to get to the point that all of the expected
functionality of the prior code will be properly implemented into the new
system.
