TinyMUX has already begun to allow UTF-8 parsing... PennMUSH soon will too, and hopefully all the major TinyMUD flavors will follow. It would be very beneficial to a lot of MU*ers if TinyFugue could allow and support the use of UTF-8 strings.

    I'd really love to see this too. It's probably the biggest feature missing from TF for me personally.

    UTF8 is used in the LP world too. FluffOS includes some measure of UTF8 and I know Discworld uses it to some extent.

    Its becoming more and more popular and I hope it'll be considered in tinyfugue in the future. It'll mean tinyfugue can be an option for a lot more people.

    I put my patches for UTF-8 up at Github: http://github.com/kruton/tinyfugue

    You have to compile them yourself, but at least you have an option.
