#31 On Ubuntu 14.04, input window unusable

TF versions (from prebuilt Ubuntu packages): 4.0 stable 1, 5.0 beta 8
(I would give a more complete version, but I am unable to type "/version" in the input window.)

Upon a recent upgrade within Ubuntu 14.04, tf (both 4.x and 5.x releases) upon invocation generate the inital screen with input and output windows and then I am unable to supply any input. Ctrl-C results in "%Resuming TinyFugue", and the only exit path so far has been to kill the process from the background.

Manually compiling the tf binary from the .tar.gz (tf-40s1.tar.gz) fails, both with "CC=cc" commented or uncommented. Compile output can be provided (but wanted to keep spam to a minimum)
