I have several WIN7-Pro 64 machines which I have loaed the latest version. All is well when I'm logged on as the admin. However, when I log onto the domain as either a domain or workstation user, none of the libraries are present. And simply copying the libraries doesn't work.
When I go to import the libraries, they appear when imported, but then don't stick. The libraries sit in the users directory, but are not recognized each time the proogram is opened. HELP...
Cheers...
Mike
TinyCAD is designed to be installed by each individual user without administrator permissions other than local-machine permissions. It presently does not support installing it for "All Users" although that may change in the next release (2.90.00) if it is ready in time for the release. I suggest that you uninstall TinyCAD from the account that you originally installed it from, and then reinstall it from the account that you plan to use it from. The TinyCAD installed library names are stored in the Windows registry. They can be hand-edited, if necessary, or you can inspect them just to see which ones that you have loaded. Note that there is a max buffer size limit for storing the path names to each library. We used to have trouble with this issue when users used really long path names for many libraries. We were able to extend the buffer from its original 256 bytes to around 8k bytes now. Since we use Unicode characters (2 bytes/character), this will store 4000 Unicode characters. I don't recall now if there is an error warning if you exceed this limit.
Let me know if this does or doesn't resolve your installation issues so that I can close this bug or study it further.
Thanks,
Don
