My best guess is that most of the COBOL programmers who try TC will be mainframe people. Mainframe programmers are used to having their programming environment set up for them by system administrators. So I agree that we should assume that the person using TC will be a beginner, especially with Unix, but they will typically have some experience with COBOL already. I'm also anticipating that a lot of developers will be guys like you who use English as a second language. |
