I know this, but with the C proprocesor of PostgreSQL, you get the line 
of the error of the original file. It is done like in the TC 
preprocessed file, via lines that contain something like

#file.ecob,23

That indicate the name and line of the original file. I could be good 
that gpre creates this, I kown I have to report this to the firebird people.
