No matter what, when I restart Tinn-R each time the two R toolbar buttons for
contiguous sending (plain and echo=T) are ON. I want them off. I turn them off
in a session by going to Options -> Application -> R -> Resources and
unchecking those two. When I restart, they are back. I checked the INI file
Tinn.ini and I see that there are no entries for these two buttons. I suspect
this is the problem - they cannot be set permanently for whatever reason. Is
there an explanation for this?

Without doubt, you found a bug!
It will be fixed in the next version (2.3.4.4).
