The last week I've been getting the following error after Tinn-R tries to load
either Rgui or Rterm, toward the ends of the startup script.

    Error in function () : unused argument(s) (quote(NULL))
Fatal error: unable to restore saved data in .RData

I'm not sure why it happens some times but not others.

    Humm...

Tinn-R stores the folder of the latest file opened. It is the working
    directory (WD) of Tinn-R.

If R is not running, when you starts it (Rterm or Rgui), R will start from the
WD. You can find it out at Tinn-R/File/Open menu.

So, if R find any .Rdata (and or .Rhistory) in the WD, it will try to read it.
Observe whether you do not have a corrupted file (.Rdata or .Rhistory) in this
    folder.

I think your problem is related to the corrupted .Rdata, due to the message:
Fatal error: unable to restore saved data in .RData
