TiMidity++ acquires samples closer to the pitch from the GUS/patch or SoundFont and resamples appropriately in order to produce the desired tone. The pitch to be output is completely controlled by TiMidity++. So, the default behavior will be played in ET regardless of GUS/patch or SoundFont.
