I'm glad to see Timidity++ still being developed. But what's the purpose of the driver call backs? I earlier optimized the Windows driver to reduce latency by handling MIDI events directly in modMessage() instead of in another thread, and I'm concerned about things that will significantly increase latency or cause stuttering.
