Hello. My name is Daniel and I have been using your emulator for a couple of years now and it is spectacular. However, I have never been able to load an app to use it. I have tried sending it as a file but it always gives me an error message. "NACK received. Cause: the command has been refused". I was wondering if it is possible to load and app and use it and if I might be doing something wrong. The app I'm trying to use is the polysmlt.8xk Any help is greatly appreciated. Best regards. -- Saludos Daniel Gomez +573016775808 |

Any chance we're going to see an updated version of TiLem for Windows that supports the TI-84 CSE? I have done this in Linux (building the 758 trunk from source) and it works well. Many of my students have the CSE now and I like to be able to show them techniques using the same model that they have. I prefer TiLem to Wabbitemu --- for starters, your default key bindings make a lot more sense than theirs. I appreciate all the work you've done on this software. Speaking as a math teacher, you've probably helped save school districts thousands of dollars. Chris. |

Hello, Have you tried to install pkg-config ? You have to resolve each missing dependency reported by configure script. Best regards. Thibault |
From: Jack T. <jte...@in...> - 2015-08-25 23:39:43

The pkg-config script could not be found or is too old. Make sure it is in your PATH or set the PKG_CONFIG environment variable to the full path to pkg-config. Alternatively, you may set the environment variables GTK_CFLAGS and GTK_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config. See the pkg-config man page for more details. To get pkg-config, see <http://pkg-config.freedesktop.org/>. See `config.log' for more details. |

I certainly wouldn't go that far - I do my best but I'm no Knuth. :) TilEm still has its bugs, but it is quite usable. I unfortunately haven't been working on it lately due to Real Life (tm) issues getting in the way, but I'm happy to help if you encounter any problems. Or if you yourself would be interested in helping fix bugs or add new features, I can try to point you in the right direction. The current subversion trunk version is stable and has a number of features not in version 2.0 (e.g. audio emulation and 84+CSE support.) Benjamin |

I was wondering because I was looking for a TI emulator for Linux that wasn't abandoned. Agreed, this would be a nice improvement. > -- Support for keys such as "Shift" and "Ctrl", but real support, as in > "Shift = 2nd" and "A = Math", not "Shift+A = 2nd,Math". You can assign bindings to modifier keys if you like (for example, "Shift_L = 2nd".) But this doesn't change the fact that other keys, like "a", will have different values (keysyms) when shift is pressed - so if you have "a = Math" you will probably also want "A = Math". > Thanks for the work you've already done, and thanks for maybe taking my > feedback in consideration. Hello, I really like your emulator but I have some ideas to make it even more awesome : -- A key that allows the user to quickly toggle fastest speed and normal speed, which would be very useful for people who use your emulator to test Axe programs that need to be compiled on calc so they can compile in fastest speed and test in normal speed -- A way to send a file when launching the emulator in the CLI, like for example |tilem2 --send-file=/home/me/project/project.8xp| -- Fix macros, which would also give a workaround to the previous point. I assume they don't work because when I Record and open a file, everything works well until I Stop and Save the macro, which makes the emulator hang and display "Abandon (core dumped)" (French distro). The file I selected to save the macro then contains my first keypresses (before I tried to load a file) and then a "file=" with nothing after the "=". There are also some things that would make it more user friendly but that are not really urgent : -- Give the possibility to edit keybindings through a beautiful interface instead of digging the keybindings.ini file somewhere. -- Support for keys such as "Shift" and "Ctrl", but real support, as in "Shift = 2nd" and "A = Math", not "Shift+A = 2nd,Math". I've began "porting" the project to cmake to make things more easy for me. Things might be a lot easier with cmake. You can find it on https://github.com/labsin/TilEm/tree/cmake If you've merged the 84+CSE branch I'll merge it too. I might try Windows and DEB packaging with cmake. With cmake I can use this repo directly without copying all the files so that I can easily merge changes. |

One thing you should be aware of is that I'm planning to merge the 84+CSE branch soon (*); that branch includes some changes in the tilemcore API in order to deal with the color screen. There are still some issues with the 84+CSE itself, but the API is stable and other calc models are working. I'd encourage you to switch over if you haven't already. Of course let me know if you have any questions or problems. Benjamin (*) "Soon" being of course a relative term, as I haven't been giving tilem the attention it deserves recently. :) Seriously though, I'd like to get this done in the next few weeks and make an official release already. |

Hi It's just to let everyone know I recently started porting TilEm to Qt/Qml (I saw that a port to Qt was begun but abandoned, is this correct?) I did this so I can release an app for Ubuntu's upcoming mobile platform, Ubuntu Touch. It's in a working state. Skins are working to. It still needs save states and a lot of other features. If you're interested see: https://github.com/labsin/TilEm-Qml This will only work on Ubuntu 14.04 dev branch. I might work on other platforms later. Sam Segers |

To build the 2.0 version, you need to run "./configure LIBS=-lm" (no quotes.) (By the way, this is not really relevant, but it's not usually necessary or recommended to run "configure" or "make" using sudo. It's only the "make install" step - to install the program system-wide - that requires root privileges.) Thanks for letting us know, and sorry it didn't work for you! Benjamin |

Bugs item #3591806, was opened at 2012-12-01 23:48 Message generated for change (Tracker Item Submitted) made by gh403 You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=388673&aid=3591806&group_id=26861 Please note that this message will contain a full copy of the comment thread, including the initial issue submission, for this request, not just the latest update. Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: gh403 (gh403) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: App refuses to load Initial Comment: The app I'm developing won't load onto an emulated calculator. It will load in other emulators such as TI's Flash Debugger and Wabbitemu. I have attached the failure error. I have no idea what could be causing the problem; although the emulator is definitely at fault, since 2 other emulators plus a physical calculator does it correctly. I'd be happy to provide more information if requested, although right now I don't know what to provide! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=388673&aid=3591806&group_id=26861 |
