Just thought that some of you might be using or thinking of getting an
account on Twitter (as it is getting more and more popular). So here
are some well-established Twitter best practices should be followed.
1) When twittering about TikiWiki, please use the hash tag #TikiWiki
in your tweets. This helps to make it easier for people following hash
tags (topics) to search and filter for them. Hashtags are not
case-sensitive, in case you are wondering.
2) If you are joining Twitter to help promote Tiki, join as an
individual. Do not use account names that might appear to represent
that the messages come from the community at large (e.g. account names
with "tikiwiki" in them) when in fact it's an individual account.
3) From what we've seen, the TikiWikiSearch Twitter account is simply
an aggregator (there are software out there that automatically
searches for terms and aggregates them into an account). Just in case
you are wondering what this could be :)
P.S. also check out identi.ca, which is like Twitter but using open
Nelson (nkoth) @nelsonko on Twitter :)
