Marc - thanks I ran the steps you set out below and whilst I got some "checksum verification" errors on a few of the packages if I repeatedly ran "php temp/composer.phar update" all the externals eventually went through One new oddity, not seen before, that came out however during one of these cycles were the following two messages: phpseclib/phpseclib suggests installing ext-gmp (Install the GMP (GNU Multiple Precision) extension in order to speed up arbitrary precision integer arithmetic operations.) phpseclib/phpseclib suggests installing pear-pear/PHP_Compat (Install PHP_Compat to get phpseclib working on PHP >= 4.3.3.) But for my final 'clean' run of "php temp/composer.phar update" it didn't show again - so a temporary thing ??? Should I worry about these? Also I think the "mikey179/vfsstream" package needs looking at since "php temp/composer.phar update" adds it and then "sh setup.sh" takes it out again ?? I know you guys had a lot of fun at the Tikifest but I didn't realise you had invented a Tiki hokey cokey :-) Anyway - do you think I should have a relatively clean/stable version to test now since I really do want to look at all the work jonny's done with ckeditor? For now: 1- svn up to latest 11.x ( I removed to packages known to cause issues) 2- Delete the vendor directory (Composer will just re-download and it solves issues of modified packages) 3- Remove the line from composer.json for any package which has problems 4- Run 'php temp/composer.phar update' (this will udpate 5- Run 'sh setup.sh' I documented here: https://dev.tiki.org/Composer #1 We are waiting for this to be reolved: https://github.com/composer/composer/pull/1812 If it doesn't, we can move it to vendor_extra #2 This is how easy it is to remove packages: http://sourceforge.net/p/tikiwiki/code/45803/tree//branches/11.x/composer.js on?diff=50c3afee5fcbc909a3cce344:45802 On Tue, Apr 30, 2013 at 10:19 AM, geoff@enmore <ge...@en...> wrote: > Sorry, still not right for me > > To make doubly sure I had the most up to date composer files I first > of all deleted composer.json and composer.lock and then at the > shell/cli did a simple "svn up" which restored both files.
