Hi everyone!

Franck, mose & tna have taken Tiki Maps to the next level. Special 
thanks to Spatial Guru for access to many Map files.

Ang's static Xplanet Map is now retired!! (Thanks ang!).   We now have 
an interactive community map:
http://tikiwiki.org/CommunityWorldmap

Everyone: please add your longitude & latitude to your preferences in 
your tikiwiki.org account. I mean everyone!! All Tiki users, developers 
and enthusiasts!

-=The future of TikiFests=-
Maps like this are a great community feature. They will make it easier 
to organize TikiFests and invite people from within a reasonable 
distance. I have started a page about the TikiFest "concept": 
http://tikiwiki.org/TikiFest  (please improve this page!)

I see a great future in combining Tiki Maps & Tiki Calendar with the 
rest of the Tiki community features (ex.: friendship). Some of the 
features of upcoming.org or meetup.com, but also associating a Tiki 
calendar entry & Tiki Map location to many items in Tiki. Ex.: images, 
blogs posts, tracker items, etc
