Hi Gaston:

In  my case: I have only been able to read your email today. I had the same issue years ago (I might have even filled in some bug report about it by then).
So my conclusion was: bug present when working with (moving) many files at once and pagination in the middle.

The workaround suggested by Marc: it's might be worth the learning curvwe with webdav IF there was no bug when working remotely through webdav powered program, but my experience with 6.2 (afair) was that a bug in the reconigition of the appropriate the mime-type of those files prevented the system to be considered ready for production for me.
That was reported off-list weeks ago directly to the authors of the webdav implementation in Tiki, (to see whether that shortcut was more successful than the crowded bug tracker that very little amount of devs monitor, it seems, not even for the features they code).
Maybe I have an answer to that email in some of the still-crowded list of un-read messages :-) (if so, I'll reply myself to this list when I get to read that message)

Good luck. Tiki 6.x (LTS) in many features it's "nearly"-ready for production for mid-sized sites...

Sounds like a bug with pagination.

Is this in directory batch upload or in a regular file gallery?

To facilitate mass file management, I suggest:
http://doc.tiki.org/WebDAV with http://cyberduck.ch/

Best regards,

M :-)

I'm in a process to move a lot of file from a web site to a new Tiki web
site. So I'm dealing with a lot of files. First, I loaded the files in a
temp Gallery directory, and then start to move items to the right
directories.

To do that I asked Tiki to display 200 files of my temporary Gallery
directory. I then selected the ones I want to move, then clicked on the
little arrow to move them. Tiki then came back with a list of 25 files,
mostly not selected because there where not part of the previous selection,
and asked for the target Gallery directory to move the selected files. At
that point, it didn't show most of the previously selected files since it
just displays 25 files. Thinking Tiki had retained the others, I selected
the target and clicked on the move action. The result : only the ones
selected and viewable on the "phase 2" were moved. There is some kind of
catch22 situation here ? Is this the correct behavior for this quite basic,
but important, function ?
