#982 Map function has 'phtml' files

No

When I click on the 'map' menu option in 1.8, I get the
listing of an phtml file. I know, phtml also is php, but
since my server was not configured for it, it shows up as
sourcecode. Since not all hostingproviders have phtml
configured as a php type and not all hostingproviders
allow adding/changing mimetypes, maybe it would be
better to rename all phtml's to php (and the
corresponding links too).

The phtml extension is needed because mapserver cannot run
as a php loaded module but from php running as a cgi.
You MUST configure your apache server in this way. cf
TikiMapDoc on www.tikiwiki.org for more information.

Sorry, I do not understand your comment... are you implying
that when PHP runs as a CGI the extension MUST be
phtml ???? If that's the thing you are implying, you are
misinformed, since I _have_ PHP running as CGI and never
    used phtml as extension.

Most people use php as an Apache module, I cannot request
them to chhange their whole site settings to run everything
as php as cgi. Using a different extension allows them to
continue to run tiki as usual in accelerated mode with php
as a module, and php as cgi for phtml only...

In your case you can add phtml to your list of accepted
    extensions for php too...

I have no perfect solution till mapserver can run with php
    as a module...

    Cheers
    Franck
