When I enter a chat room, and enter the following
message ":(",
i get an error

Notice: Undefined offset: 1 in
/var/www/html/tiki-1.8/tiki-chat_box.php on line 35

The bug fix is simple and given below

Replace existing line 35 in tiki-chat_box.php with the
following code snippet:

if ($reqs) {

$chatlib->send_private_message($_REQUEST["nickname"],
$reqs[1], $reqs[2]);
}
else {

$chatlib->send_message($_REQUEST["nickname"],
$_REQUEST["channelId"], $data);
}

    Hi, Are you interested in getting CVS access? The chat
    feature is very dead at the moment and a fresh face in that
    feature would bring some life back to it.

    Hi,

    I am new to php. I have never coded in this before. I am
    very familiar
    with C, Java and so am able to use that background to make these
    simple fixes.

    I am myself developing another open source project
    (NewsRack) besides other things, and do not have the
    required resources to work on this at this time, but will
    continue to make bug fixes and other contributions on
    tiki-wiki when I am able to.

    Subbu.
