#118 Hitting return to send a message pauses

When I type in a message and hit return (or press
the send button), there is a full one second pause
before the input box is cleared. Everything just
seems to hang for that second. I'm using 0.90 on
a Debian Linux box, with sounds turned off (I
thought at first that maybe it was hanging trying
to play the sounds). Any ideas? You can e-mail
