Custom Fields inside Tickets?

Hi Guys, I dont suppose there is an easy way to add
some custom fields to the template / layout inside a
ticket? I'd like to use this ticket system to replace
our outdated jobcard system (paper nightmare!) here
at our Radio Repeater servicing business where we
work on TAXI data equipment, radio repeaters, hire
radios and much more.

The newest version (ticket2) has separated field names in
table from (short and long) field descriptions.
Also, the fields can be expanded/hid without much trouble
(I think!)
