I fixed the changed XML syntax and also changed one place where the
wrong type was passed to a wxWindows method. I now have thoughtstream
loading under Linux and Windows. 

I'll make up a patch and submit it tomorrow. It looks like the basic
functions still might need tweaking in the wxWindows department.

My goal right now if to get it to the same state of functioning as it
was under Python 1.5.

After that we'll see about new work.
