I'm having issues with the /autogen.sh/ script after a fresh /git pull/ this afternoon. A run of /sudo apt-get install libtool/ got me past that (Screenshot_20251027_184754.png) but then /intltoolize /is not found. A run of /sudo apt-get install intltool/ got me to the next step in which I learn that libglib2 is needed. Running /sudo apt-get install libglib2* -y/ gets me to the /aclocal/ errors shown in Screenshot_20251027_190702.png which indicate order of events problems. I currently have automake 1.16.5 installed. Running automake in the thoggen directory where I find configure.ac I see the following: --------- src/Makefile.am:8: warning: 'INCLUDES' is the old name for 'AM_CPPFLAGS' (or '*_CPPFLAGS') src/gst-=plugins/Makefile.am:8: warning: 'INCLUDES' is the old name for 'AM_CPPFLAGS' (or '*_CPPFLAGS') --------- Editing those files and substituting 'AM_CPPFLAGS' for 'INCLUDES' eliminates those informational messages but I still have the same /aclocal/ errors shown in Screenshot_20251027_190702.png. What is Thoggen? =========== Thoggen is a DVD backup utility ('DVD ripper') for Linux, based on Gtk+ and GStreamer. It creates ogg/theora video files and features an extremely easy and intuitively to use interface. Thoggen supports picture cropping and resizing. There is a lot of room for optimisation here for now the motto is 'make it work first, optimise later' though. * DVD drive detection problems. If you are running kernel 2.6.x and HAL and have all required modules loaded, but thoggen does not detect your dvd drive, then please check the output of 'lshal | grep -i dvd'. If this does print something, please send me the output of 'lshal'. Support for DVD drive detection for older kernels and other OSes might be added in the future; it's not a priority though at the moment. * The created movie has A-V sync problems In this case you probably need the GStreamer a52dec plugin from CVS (part of gst-plugins). I am not 100% sure whether A-V sync works with the current released gst-plugins version.
