Hi, Thoggen 0.4.2 has just been released. Get it from: http://thoggen.net/download/ This release is mainly a bug-fix release. Most importantly it contains a work-around for a problem a lot of people have been running into, namely Thoggen sometimes not stopping at the end of a title. This will most likely be the last GStreamer-0.8-based Thoggen release. Future development is going to focus on porting Thoggen to GStreamer-0.10 and then adding new features. ------------------------ What is Thoggen? ------------------------ Thoggen is a DVD backup utility ("DVD ripper") for Linux, based on Gtk+ and= =20 GStreamer. It creates ogg/theora video files and features an extremely=20 intuitive and easy to use interface. Thoggen supports picture cropping and=20 resizing. -------------------------------------------- v0.4.2 - Apocalypse -------------------------------------------- * add hack to force EOS at the end of a title if for some reason it doesn't stop encoding at the end * recognise and accept mp3 audio streams * add stdint include before including the libdvdread headers, which is required for recent libdvdread versions (Hanno B=C3=B6ck) * fix .desktop file generation and translation (Sebastian Dr=C3=B6ge) ------------------------ Requirements ------------------------ * Gtk+ 2.6.0 or newer * GStreamer 0.8.10 or newer * gst-plugins 0.8.10 or newer * GStreamer plugins required (debian package names in brackets): - a52dec (gstreamer0.8-a52dec) - mpeg2dec (gstreamer0.8-mpeg2dec) - dvdreadsrc (gstreamer0.8-dvd) - dvddemux (gstreamer0.8-misc) - dvdlpcmdec (gstreamer0.8-misc) - dtsdec (gstreamer0.8-dts) - videorate (gstreamer0.8-misc) - theoraenc (gstreamer0.8-theora) - rawvorbisenc (gstreamer0.8-vorbis) - oggmux (gstreamer0.8-misc) - audioconvert (gstreamer0.8-misc) - audioscale (gstreamer0.8-misc) - ffmpegcolorspace (gstreamer0.8-misc) * libdvdread3 >=3D 0.9.4 * libdvdcss2 >=3D 1.2.8 required for encrypted DVDs * dbus, dbus-glib * hal and libhal More information is available at http://thoggen.net Please report problems/bugs to the thoggen-devel mailing list. Enjoy! Cheers -Tim |
