I forgot to mention one thing... I was thinking that once the aspect ratio issue was sorted out I coul= d use the cropping options to get rid of the black borders that showed = up on the track preview so I tried it. However, the preview in the crop selection dialog does not have any black border around the video to c= rop and video is the correct aspect ratio!
